Loyal to One. I wonder if you are able to guess to which one my heart belongs. To whom are my affections cast and my love devoted. Who could it be ~ my husband, a son, a friend, a confidant or even my father? Perhaps my loyalty belongs to my shepherd... my guide and defender?
What if He is all of the above? Would you believe me?
It is He Who is my Husband and my Father to Whom I declare my loyalty. He is my Friend and Confidant. He is the Son Who is my Elder Brother. My full loyalty does belong to my Shepherd, my Guide, and Defender. He is all of these and more. To Him I am loyal.
Loyal to One.
For you see, as I command my heart to bow in His presence, and I commit my eyes to gaze upon His Majesty, I become filled with the fullness of His love. He is truly the loyal One. Only by His influential love and relationship am I able to offer my loyalty to another. Only by choosing to be loyal to One will I ever have the capacity to forgive as I have been forgiven and to love as I have been loved.
Lord, I commit my loyalty to You. I bow my heart and bend my knees in Your presence. I thank You for the warrior love by which You continually pursue me. Embrace me in Your presence to the full extent I am able to withstand Your glory. May I be forever marked by loyalty to One.
I love You, Lord, because You loved me first and best... with a heart devoted and surrendered... Your lamb,
